About - Amanda Bachalli

Amanda Marion Dyall was born and raised in Chennai, India. She spent her formative years studying at the Harrington House School, Church Park and Stella Maris College. By the time she was 21 she was a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Drawing and Painting. She was always into Fashion so when the National Institute of Fashion Technology, opened its first center in South India, they chose Chennai, and Amanda chose them. NIFT gave her a sound grounding in the intricacies of Fashion Designing. With her Art studies complimenting her Fashion sense, she graduated with honors from NIFT in 1998.

Art and Fashion have always fascinated Amanda…”There is something exhilarating about the art of fashion…the art of dressing others. It is a sociological way we humans have invented to communicate to others”, says Amanda. She knows that deep down we all want to communicate with others.  And so many times we do that through our clothes. From being designer at SWEAR GARMENTS and NAMA ( Bangalore) to being Manager – Merchandising for TESCO Sourcing India (Bangalore),sourcing garments from India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh for the UK, Ireland and much of Europe; Amanda has had a very exciting and rewarding career. She taught part time at The National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore and also at the Shristi School of Design, Bangalore. After a 5-year work experience in the corporate world, Amanda started her own labels “Amanda” and “Amanda Bachalli”. She has since then had many fashion shows, many reviews and more importantly – many extremely satisfied customers.

Amanda moved to Philadelphia ,USA in 2014 and that is where she now resides.

 Amanda has also had a strong interest in the way the human mind works and she completed a course in RTT- Rapid Transformational Therapy in 2021 and is also a practicing Certified RTT Therapist and Certified Hypnotherapist.
